After completing her studies at Nyenrode and Thunderbird in Phoenix, Arizona, Esther Mollema (born 1965) worked as the director of various training companies in the Netherlands, Japan, Germany and the US.

Since the end of 1999 Esther has been the Founder and Director of Direction, prominent in the area of leadership and team development. Esther Mollema has been Managing Director of the Center for Organizational Performance since 2007. Esther is a much sought-after speaker and program leader in the area of change management, (female) leadership, high performance organizations, quality and management and employees and strategic management development.

Dr. André A. de Waal MBA (born 1960) is Associate Professor of Strategic Management at the Maastricht School of Management and Academic Director of the Center for Organizational Performance, an organization that researches and dispenses advice about high performance organizations. He worked for seventeen years as an organizational advisor and associate at Arthur Andersen and the Holland Consulting Group. André was selected as one of the Dutch Masters in Management, ten people who have most influenced management thinking in the Netherlands in the last decade. CDs about his work have since been marketed in the Dutch Masters in Management and Management Topics series. André de Waal's doctoral thesis was about the behavioral aspects that are important for successful implementation of performance management systems. As a consultant and researcher he primarily focuses on strategic performance management and organizations that excel. He has lectured about these topics and has conducted projects in countries such as the Netherlands, China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Nepal, Peru, Ecuador, Surinam, Great Britain, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, South Africa, Namibia and Tanzania.

André has authored more than 190 articles and 22 books in the area of performance management, high performance organizations and organizational improvement, including strategic performance management. Chiel Vink (born 1956) obtained comprehensive business experience in the banking world; he worked for 25 years at the ABN Amro bank in various line and staff positions. He holds various advisory positions and commissionerships.

In 2004 he set out to improve performance at for-profit and non-profit organizations and is the co-founder of the Center for Organizational Performance. Starting in 2006 he set up several HPO networks in business and healthcare in order to share best practices with regard to improving performance. These experiences resulted, among other things, in a special HPO healthcare scan being developed that was incorporated in the VVT Benchmark upon request of ActiZ. Chiel is also active in the hospital world, the education sector and care for the handicapped.

Chiel regularly speaks at congresses and workshops regarding High Performance Organizations and performance improvement within organizations (specifically for the sectors: cure and care, education and financial and business services).

Chiel is married and has 2 children.

Marco Schreurs (born 1971) is a co-founder of Direction, Briefings for Business Leaders Europe BV (est. 1999) and the Center for Organizational Performance. From Direction, Marco has been involved in setting up the Center for Organizational Performance since 2004.

Marco is responsible for the marketing and operational activities of Direction and the HPO Center.
Prior to working for the Center and Direction, Marco was involved in the introduction of voice recognition software in the Netherlands. Before that he worked in various management functions within the education and congress branch in the Netherlands and South Africa.

At the HPO Center Marco is responsible, among other things, for marketing and the online HPO Scan and Reporting. Marco is married and has 2 children.
