The recent evaluation of Andre de Waal of my company’s economic and cultural condition yielded the most comprehensive, dynamic, sensible and uplifting status report that I have ever encountered. As a consultant myself who primarily works with other consultants, and as a former Board member and chapter president of the Institute of Management Consultants, I am quite familiar with many assessment techniques and processes. Yet André’s approach proved unique in very significant ways:
- his background research has been extensive, delving as he has into literally hundreds of research studies from which he has drawn inspiration for his methods;
- he leaves no stone unturned in his quest to fully understand the company under investigation by use of organizational structure analysis, online surveys, in-depth one-on-one interviews with all relevant company personnel and other actions
- upon completion of the research stage, he focuses carefully on what he has found, drawing up insightful, big-picture conclusions for the company under scrutiny, as well as wise recommendations about what the firm might do next and also what it should NOT do next!
Throughout the entire process, Andre carefully listens, absorbs, processes, shares, challenges and even offers suggestions and encouragement. His personal style (which includes friendliness and humor!) expertly enhances the overall result.
Any firm in need of an organizational re-examination, or any who so much as suspects it might benefit from such an inventory process, should endeavor to bring Andre de Waal in to do the job.
